Photonect Interconnect Solutions, a photonics company that is revolutionizing optical connections with innovative laser-based technology, won an NSF SBIR Phase 1, NASA STTR Phase 1, DoD SBIR Phase 1 and is part of the Activate Fellowship Program. They have also raised $450,000 in pre-seed funding from investors and accelerators, is generating revenue and are currently raising $1M to develop an MVP of a laser fusion attach machine. It was started and remains based in Rochester, NY.
