Reia is redesigning pelvic organ prolapse treatment options to allow women to reclaim their independence and lifestyle. Through the I-Corps process, the three women founders of Reia – all Dartmouth undergraduate alumni – were able to segment the value proposition for each stakeholder in the women’s health ecosystem and to identify a primary buyer and an interconnected influencer. Reia received seed investment through a MassChallenge prize and leveraged that funding as a bridge to $3.19M in NIH SBIR Phase I & II grants. In addition, Reia has received funding through the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. Reia is engaged in clinical trials of its novel Pessary. Reia has three female co-founders and currently has four (4) full time employees.
